Job Title: Privacy Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Privacy Director to provide privacy guidance and support across all functions and business units.
- Build and maintain a structured framework for tracking, reporting, and driving key privacy initiatives.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the privacy program as directed by the Privacy Director.
- Support projects in the . and globally involving data privacy matters.
- Monitor the privacy inbox, assess incoming matters, and prepare action plans.
- Review and manage data subjects' privacy requests, report on DSRs status, and address issues.
- Maintain and enhance processes and tools for data subject requests.
- Conduct legal research and analysis as required for the business.
- Draft and review privacy notices, data transfer agreements, policies, internal SOPs, procedures, data repositories, and privacy templates.
- Support the business in conducting data privacy impact assessments.
- Assist in the development of data mapping projects.
- Develop privacy training materials and deliver training to employees.
- Stay current with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Suggest necessary changes or adjustments to ensure compliance with privacy laws.
Education and Experience Information:
- Completion of law school with a . degree.
- Admission to the bar of one jurisdiction in the United States is preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of legal experience in privacy-related work in a law firm or in-house legal department for a mid-large size company.
- Strong knowledge of global and . Data Privacy Laws.
- Ability to communicate complex privacy concepts effectively to business teams.
- Ability to work independently on a wide range of counseling matters and make reasoned risk-based decisions.
- Excellent drafting skills.
- Relevant privacy-security certifications (., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) are highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis of legal issues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to business changes.
- Experience working with privacy management platforms.
- Proactive and collaborative with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% if needed.
Salary Information:
- Highly competitive compensation plan.
- Salary range $125,000-$140,000 annually, determined by various factors including experience and qualifications.
