Job Title: Tax Senior, Specialized Tax Services Partnerships

Job Responsibilities:

The Tax Senior, Partnerships is responsible for leveraging basic research skills and their educational background to provide advisory services to clients concerning the tax implications of business objectives and partnership-specific issues. Key responsibilities include:

- Developing an in-depth understanding of partnership taxation, including section 704(b) and taxable income allocations, capital account maintenance, liability analysis and allocations, section 734(b) and 743(b) adjustment calculations, and Tax Receivable Agreement (TRA) calculations.
- Assisting clients in preparing partnership-specific computations and addressing potential partnership taxation issues.
- Engaging in marketing and business development activities within the group.
- Participating in process improvement and team-building initiatives, maintaining client relationships, and guiding staff.
- Conducting external CPE training sessions in areas of specialization, at least once per year.
- Training and mentoring interns and associates on software tools and research skills.
- Collaborating on tax consulting efforts to maximize client benefits by reducing current and future taxes.
- Assisting with the implementation of firm strategies and managing client expectations.
- Participating in scheduling and managing the workload of interns and associates, and reviewing their work.

Education and Experience Information:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
- Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.

Experience:
- A minimum of two years of relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience is required.
- Preferred experience in specialized partnership and private equity at both fund and portfolio company levels.

License/Certifications:
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.
- Other applicable professional degrees or certifications preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with tax research databases and compliance process software preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and research skills, and the ability to effectively delegate work.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, develop and maintain client relationships, and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven setting.
- Professional presence and ability to act as the primary ,250, applicable in Maryland, NYC/Long Island/Westchester, and Washington DC as well.
