Job Responsibilities:
The Appellate Practice and Trial Support Associate is responsible for providing legal expertise and support in appellate and trial proceedings. Key responsibilities include:

- Handling appellate oral arguments, which involves presenting cases to appellate courts and advocating on behalf of clients.
- Arguing legal motions in court, which requires a deep understanding of legal principles and the ability to persuasively present arguments.
- Participating in charge conferences, where legal instructions are discussed and agreed upon before being presented to a jury.
- Preserving the record during trials, ensuring that all necessary legal procedures and documentation are correctly followed and recorded for potential appeals.
- Working collaboratively with legal teams to support trial preparation and strategy.
- Engaging in legal research and drafting briefs, motions, and other legal documents to support case arguments.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for this position must have:

- Four to six years of demonstrated experience in appellate and trial support.
- Actual courtroom experience, which includes handling appellate oral arguments and participating actively in legal proceedings.
- Preferably, prior experience in judicial clerking, which provides valuable insights into judicial processes and decision-making.

The candidate must possess:

- Excellent academic credentials, which reflect a strong legal education background.
- Demonstrated writing skills, essential for drafting legal documents and effective communication of legal arguments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, necessary for collaboration with legal teams and interaction with clients and court personnel.
- The ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team, ensuring that all aspects of trial and appellate support are handled efficiently.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Appellate Practice and Trial Support Associate position is $155,000 to $205,000, which varies depending on the location of employment.
