Job Title: Associate General Counsel – Remote

Job Responsibilities:
The Associate General Counsel provides legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations, risks, and privileges of the organization. The role involves acquiring deep knowledge of the industry and specific business practices within the Clinical Services Organization to best advise senior business leaders. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing legal counsel on the development and implementation of reimbursement policies and administrative protocols across the enterprise.
- Offering legal support for affordability programs across all lines of business.
- Supporting the development of clinical programs across all lines of business.
- Proactively identifying and resolving legal matters.
- Developing best practices and processes for addressing emerging legal and business risks.
- Supporting product development and benefit interpretation processes.
- Coordinating with the Regulatory Affairs department in responding to regulatory inquiries and assisting with the development and deployment of regulatory outreach strategies.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the company's legal and compliance departments.
- Assisting in the review, preparation, and negotiation of various products, documents, and contracts.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctorate degree is required.
- Current license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law is necessary.
- The ability to provide timely and responsive legal support for business partners located across all . Time Zones and internationally is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant legal experience in health law, commercial healthcare insurance, Medicaid managed care, Medicare Advantage, litigation, contracting, and/or healthcare provider legal support is preferred.
- Experience with regulatory agencies, providers, and/or clinical delivery will be advantageous.
- A solid understanding of health insurance and/or the managed care industry is preferred.
- Proven success in collaborating across a matrixed business and legal environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of business problems related to assigned legal projects and the ability to evaluate and determine the appropriate legal course of action to meet business unit needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Well-developed presentation skills.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to the salary, the company offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution, subject to eligibility requirements.
