Salary Range: The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,420 to $144,300.

Job Summary:
- Seeking a Tax Senior with a minimum of 3 years of experience in tax planning or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
- This role will involve working within an engagement team and providing tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients.
- The Tax Senior will be responsible for identifying complex tax issues, performing tax analyses, and reviewing tax research, work papers, financial statements, and tax returns.
- This role requires a basic understanding of Subchapter M, financial products, and book to tax adjustments common to regulated investment companies.
- The Tax Senior will also be responsible for tax planning, supervising tax consultants, and attending required training.
- This position may require travel up to 25% depending on the work and clients served.
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and one of the following active accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP.
- An advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM is preferred.
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm is also preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients.
- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analyses for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
- Perform detail-level reviews of tax research, regulated investment company (RIC) tax work papers, financial statement provisions and related tax disclosures and federal and relevant state returns, excise calculations, and RIC compliance tests.
- Perform tax planning and supervise tax consultants.
- Attend required **Members Only** and sector-specific training.
- Travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Co-locate in person 2-3 days per week within a hybrid work model.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field.
- Basic understanding of Subchapter M, financial products, and book to tax adjustments common to regulated investment companies.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
