A prominent law firm based in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to support its growing civil defense team. With a longstanding presence across California and Nevada, this firm is recognized for its successful handling of complex, high-exposure litigation matters. Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution in civil defense matters
Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings (both in-person and remote)
Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, draft legal pleadings and motions
Collaborate with team members to develop legal strategies for various liability claims
Maintain frequent communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
Analyze case files and provide thorough risk assessments and recommendations
Manage a dynamic caseload with autonomy and accountability
Active license to practice in California and/or Nevada
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense or a related area
Proven courtroom advocacy and legal writing skills
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Proficiency in using litigation support tools and legal practice management software
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the California and/or Nevada State Bar
Litigation strategy and case analysis
Deposition and trial preparation
Legal research and drafting
Time and case management
Adaptability in both in-office and remote work settings
