JOB TITLE: Chief Court Attorney
ORGANIZATION: Unified Court System, State of New York
LOCATION: 10th Judicial District, Nassau County Supreme Court
SALARY: $140,881 + $4,775 location pay
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt/Confidential

Qualifications:
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Three (3) years of service in the Associate Court Attorney title; or
- Eight (8) years of relevant legal experience gained after admission to the New York State Bar

Responsibilities:
- Supervise a law department consisting of eight (8) or more Court Attorneys
- Make assignments, review work product, and develop policy
- Oversee all law department operations
- Research and analyze complex legal issues and questions for the court
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Position may require reassignment to any position in the same title within the Unified Court System
