Deputy Editorial Director (INDG) - Manage assigned editorial products and oversee day-to-day operations, editorial quality, operational efficiency, product development, and staff management and development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business plans and strategy for assigned publications/products in collaboration with leadership.
- Maintain and strengthen editorial quality of assigned products by enforcing standards and regularly reviewing content.
- Work with division directors and internal teams to ensure project and product quality, operational efficiency, and budget compliance.
- Identify and respond to opportunities and threats in the market.
- Provide feedback and recognition to direct reports on job performance.
- Make or approve personnel decisions and develop staff with the help of the Editorial Director and Human Resources.
- Support field sales through editor-on-calls, training programs, and other means.
- Develop market strategy by interacting with customers through conferences, advisory board meetings, and other events.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience in a combination of editorial and business management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A Juris Doctor degree may be preferred.
- Preference may be given to candidates with prior staff management experience, experience in **Members Only**'s target market and subject matter areas, and/or project management experience.
