Associate Attorney Must demonstrate excellent legal research abilities, strong writing and communication skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and enjoy working on high conflict and complex matters. The candidate will assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings. Assist with the discovery process by administering depositions, issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents. Negotiate settlements. Perform legal research. Make court appearances as necessary. Conduct initial consultations with potential clients. Executes case strategy with other attorneys, paralegals, clients and support staff. Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress. Involved with trial proceedings working with support staff in organizing evidence; preparing exhibits; scheduling witnesses; ensuring that witnesses are ready/prepared when needed. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required. Should have 1-2 years of experience. Should be licensed to practice law. Should be active with California State Bar Association with no disciplinary actions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
