Job Responsibilities:
The role of a Volunteer Law Student involves various responsibilities within the Department of Justice's Executive Office for . Attorneys and the Office of the . Attorneys, specifically in the Middle District of Florida. The primary mission is to enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States, provide federal leadership in crime prevention and control, seek just punishment for unlawful behavior, and ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans. The responsibilities include:

- Drafting responsive motions, dispositive motions, memoranda of law, and appellate briefs.
- Familiarizing with the Federal Rules of Civil and Criminal Procedure, the Federal Rules of Evidence, the local rules of practice for the Middle District of Florida District Court, and the local and Federal rules of Appellate Procedure.
- Attending depositions, meetings with agents, and accompanying attorneys to observe court proceedings.
- Engaging in practice areas such as Appellate Litigation, Civil Litigation, and Criminal Litigation.

Education and Experience Information:
