Director, Network Compliance (Partner Oversight)
Job Responsibilities:
The Director, Network Compliance (Partner Oversight) plays a crucial role in the second line of defense for the company's network and merchant businesses. This position is responsible for establishing and implementing the framework for the network compliance program. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing effective challenge on business processes identified by the network and merchant businesses, focusing on operating regulations and partner oversight programs.
- Developing an expert-level understanding of operating regulations and partner oversight-related business processes globally.
- Proactively identifying trends in business data and understanding network payments compliance risks, including emerging external risks.
- Maintaining subject matter expertise in the broader payments industry and applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with applicable first and second line functions to analyze the existing risk management program framework and its applicability to the partner oversight program.
- Educating and influencing risk management colleagues and senior leaders on nuanced or specialized considerations.
- Working closely with the Network Compliance advisory team to ensure ongoing application of compliance requirements to business expansions and new partners.
- Developing strong relationships with Business Risk, Legal, and Audit peers to support the ongoing network compliance program.
- Displaying a passion for coaching and developing others through leadership style and presence.
Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
- At least 8 years of legal, compliance, or risk management experience OR at least 7 years of regulatory experience in the consumer financial services or payments industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree, including Juris Doctorate or Master’s degree.
Salary Information:
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role vary by location:
- Chicago, IL: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Compliance
- McLean, VA: $200,100 - $228,400 for Director, Compliance
- New York, NY: $218,300 - $249,100 for Director, Compliance
- Richmond, VA: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Compliance
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The actual salary offered will be reflected in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
