Position Summary:
- Handle all aspects of client cases from start to finish
- Receive support from senior attorneys in tax controversy practice
- Work on a variety of cases related to tax problems
- Collaborate with team to provide excellent client experience
- Communicate with clients, other counsel, and representatives from IRS and state revenue agencies
- Review and analyze financial reports
- Track billable hours and manage workflow
- Delegate tasks to support staff
- Prepare legal documents and conduct legal research
- Minimum billable hour requirement of 1650 hours annually

Responsibilities:
- Communication: Provide excellent client experience and effectively communicate with clients and other counsel
- Supervision: Work diligently under supervision of senior attorneys
- Interaction: Interact attentively with representatives from IRS and state revenue agencies
- Analysis: Review, edit, and analyze client financial reports
- Case Management: Handle case evaluation, risk assessment, and counseling on various tax problems
- Time Management: Accurately track time spent on each case and meet billable hour requirement
- Workflow Management: Manage workflow, complete tasks daily, and ensure deadlines are met
- Delegation: Delegate tasks to support staff
- Document Preparation: Prepare correspondence and legal documents for IRS and state revenue agencies
- Legal Research: Utilize Bloomberg and other platforms for legal research

Qualifications:
- Preferred experience in tax controversy in law firm, accounting firm, or corporation (not required)
- Active Bar license
- Proficiency in Adobe and MS Office, especially Word and Excel
- Problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and comfortable in fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Collaborative and professional attitude
- Familiarity with legal time-reporting and billing practices
- Technical abilities
