Job Title: Project Manager - Tax Practice
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead client engagement teams and other stakeholders through various phases of complex engagements, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
- Perform tasks such as monitoring project progress, managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, tracking key performance indicators, and creating reports and presentations for delivery to relevant clients and stakeholders.
- Utilize and ensure adherence to standard project management processes and tools to manage project teams across the entire project life cycle.
- Comply with all engagement reporting requirements and serve as an advocate for project management principles and standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to create a project charter and maintain the project execution plan, including scope, schedule, budget, approach, assumptions, deliverable definitions, and communication plan.
- Identify and address project risk factors and resolve project issues, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Manage internal and client-facing meetings by creating agendas with clear objectives, roles, and time allocations, facilitating meetings, and documenting decisions and action items.
- Oversee the project change control process.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of five years of recent experience in project management within a professional services environment.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must hold a licensed CPA, JD/LLM, or EA, among other approved credentials. New hires without these designations have one year from their hire date to obtain one of the approved credentials.
- Skills in business modeling, management consulting, organizational development, process improvement, tax, strategy, and operations are a plus.
- Preferred PMP certification.
- An advanced degree or related license is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to execute and achieve objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook, is required. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Project is highly desired.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, meeting facilitation, analytical, judgment, and supervisory skills.
- Capability to work effectively with project team members, project sponsors, functional leads, senior management, and clients.
- Must be willing and able to travel frequently to client engagements located in Denver.

- The salary for this position is determined based on relevant factors such as the applicant's skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations.

- California Salary Range: $96,800 - $187,500.
