Duties:

  • Represent clients in high-profile patent litigation cases, managing the legal aspects from pre-litigation through trial.
  • Prepare and argue motions, manage discovery, and draft briefs for complex patent infringement cases.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel on patent law matters.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior associates to develop litigation strategies.
  • Assist in case management and work directly with clients to address their legal needs.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of patent law developments and case precedents to ensure high-quality client service.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience specifically in patent litigation, with a proven track record of handling sophisticated IP matters.
  • Experience in a reputable law firm, ideally within the AmLaw 200 or similar prestigious firms.
  • Strong understanding of patent law, including patent trial procedures and patent office proceedings.
  • Ability to work independently while managing complex legal matters and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • A strong team-oriented mindset, with an eagerness to collaborate and learn from seasoned litigators.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • . from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar in Texas (or eligibility to waive in).

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, persuasive motions, briefs, and opinions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel effectively.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail in case management.
  • Proficiency in managing litigation technology and e-discovery tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with an analytical approach to complex legal issues.
