A well-established law firm, known for its robust project development practice, is seeking a junior associate attorney to join its expanding team. This position offers the chance to work closely with seasoned professionals on a wide range of matters across the Northeast, providing invaluable experience in project development, commercial transactions, and real estate. The firm has a collaborative and supportive environment, where attorneys can grow and build their skills in both transactional and developmental legal work.

Duties:

  • Assist in the development of project finance, real estate, and commercial transactions, with a focus on project development and commercial agreements.
  • Support senior attorneys in land use and zoning matters, including legal research and drafting documents.
  • Participate in the negotiation of terms and contracts for large-scale real estate developments and commercial projects.
  • Review and interpret real property tax issues as they relate to development projects.
  • Draft and manage project-related legal documentation, including contracts and agreements.
  • Provide general legal support to clients throughout the development process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project development, real estate, and commercial transactions.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Previous experience with land use and zoning law is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York (or ability to obtain licensure promptly).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and document management software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships.
  • Negotiation and contract drafting skills.
