Job Title: Senior Associate, International Tax
Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Associate in the International Tax practice, the successful candidate will work alongside experienced partners and global teams to address complex international tax matters. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying impacts of key international tax provisions on significant business changes.
- Modeling transaction scenarios across jurisdictions to find tax efficiencies and incentives in global corporate transformations.
- Identifying multinational or cross-border tax issues and coordinating with local advisors for integrated global tax advice.
- Leading the preparation of . International Tax filings including Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, and 8992 for multinational clients.
- Performing IP migrations, entity rationalization, post-acquisition integration, international M&A, debt structuring, and foreign tax planning.
- Conducting international tax due diligence and addressing post-closing matters.
- Reviewing and preparing international tax opinions, memorandums, compliance, and accounting for income taxes.
- Engaging in client calls to apply tax technical knowledge to specific situations.
- Creating concise and complete deliverables that address client-critical elements.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, communicating work plans, project objectives, and timelines.
- Mentoring associates by delegating tasks, ensuring efficiency, and sharing best practices.
- Building client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of client businesses, with opportunities for increased responsibility.
- Identifying opportunities for additional services to existing clients through a working knowledge of their businesses.
- Building internal relationships with other Federal Tax team members and the broader company.
- Valuing diverse perspectives and creating inclusive opportunities for contribution.
- Assisting with business development through the creation of resources and proposal materials.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is required.
- CPA or Licensed Attorney designation is necessary.
- A minimum of 2+ years of International Tax experience is required.
- The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential.
- Proficiency in communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills is required.
- Experience with OIT or return software is considered a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, is necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- High motivation to learn and grow, along with being detail-oriented and possessing strong organizational skills.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 annually. The final amount depends on various factors including education, experience, skills, and geography. Additionally, the company offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Detailed information regarding the bonus program can be requested from the recruiter.
