Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Attorney will be a key member of the law firm's team, focusing on retail consumer collections. The responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing case-level litigation strategies by using a , an analytical mindset, and knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to creditor’s rights and collections.
- Zealously representing clients at court proceedings.
- Managing dockets and cases efficiently by partnering with an internal team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
- Preparing pleadings and ensuring seamless case management.
- Negotiating settlements with defendants and opposing counsel, defending against counterclaims, and navigating escalated litigation matters to resolve disputes using good judgment, complex problem-solving skills, and achievement orientation.
- Leveraging the latest industry technology and monitoring changes to laws or regulations.
- Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency.
- Engaging in regional travel to appear at courts throughout Michigan.
- Maintaining good standing with the Bar Association and meeting the requirements of a thorough background review process.

Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate should have:

- 1-3 years of experience in creditor’s rights and civil litigation.
- Advanced interpersonal and written communication skills.
- A high bar for excellence and a sense of urgency.
- An eagerness to contribute to all aspects of file generation and litigation.

Salary Information:
