Job Title: Senior Privacy Specialist, Trust Fundamentals
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Privacy Specialist at the company is responsible for developing, maintaining, communicating, and assessing adherence to customer privacy promises and internal privacy policies and standards for the Devices & Services business. The role requires working with various teams including engineering, product, legal, PR, marketing, and other privacy and security teams across the company. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, publishing, and regularly updating promises, policies, and standards that define the company's privacy positions.
- Conducting change management to ensure awareness and implementation of privacy policy, promise, and standards requirements.
- Interpreting and applying privacy requirements to the Devices & Services business.
- Administering a privacy policy exception management process.
- Monitoring privacy regulations, industry frameworks, best practices, and business developments to update or create privacy requirements as needed.
- Contributing to the development of Devices & Services' overall privacy strategy and vision.
- Raising business awareness of privacy requirements.
- Assessing and monitoring the health and performance of privacy requirements implementation.
The position involves a cross-functional role where the specialist will work directly with engineers, product managers, policy and compliance specialists, legal, PR, marketing, and other company builders. The candidate is expected to identify the need for new or changed privacy policies and ensure their implementation. The role demands investigative and analytical skills, excellent writing skills, and experience driving alignment among diverse stakeholders. The specialist should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
Education and Experience Information:
Basic qualifications for the Senior Privacy Specialist position include:
- A minimum of 3 years of privacy compliance experience.
- Experience working directly with senior leaders.
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining privacy policies.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into simple and clear language.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Over 5 years of privacy compliance experience.
- At least one International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certification.
- Experience working for a technology company.
- A Juris Doctor, Master’s degree, or equivalent.
Salary Information:
The compensation for this position reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for the Senior Privacy Specialist ranges from $122,100 per year in the lowest geographic market to $201,400 per year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The company is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package. In addition to the salary, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits is offered.
