Assisting the County Attorney with civil and county government legal matters
- Advising County officials and staff
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and other documents related to the business of the County
- Handling public information requests and ensuring compliance with the Open Meetings Act
- Representing Angelina County and the State of Texas in contested civil cases
- Additional duties related to criminal prosecution may also be assigned

Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- Recent law school graduates awaiting bar exam results or to take the bar will also be considered

Angelina County Attorney's Office is currently seeking a licensed attorney to fill the position of Assistant County Attorney-Civil. In this role, you will work closely with the County Attorney to handle legal matters related to county government. As an Assistant County Attorney-Civil, your duties will include advising County officials and staff, drafting and reviewing contracts and policies, handling public information requests, and representing Angelina County and the State of Texas in contested civil cases. The salary for this position is $98,, with a portion of the salary funded by the Rural Prosecutor Salary Assistance Grant Program.
