Job Title: Export Controls & Sanctions - Manager
Job Responsibilities:

- Help clients manage their national security regulatory compliance obligations.
- Develop and implement compliance program strategies to reduce the risk of noncompliance with regulatory requirements and expectations.
- Conduct assessments on the effectiveness of export controls and trade sanctions compliance program related processes, procedures, controls, and technologies.
- Oversee and review the development of export controls and trade sanctions processes and controls, including policies, procedures, and manuals.
- Provide on-demand consulting services related to export controls and trade sanctions inquiries.
- Oversee managed services teams to help clients address regulatory challenges in areas like restricted party screening and export classification.
- Collaborate with other specialized teams across global locations to deliver on client requests.
- Support and drive business development activities.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of US export controls and trade sanctions regulatory requirements, frameworks, and expectations.
- Possess knowledge of the international trade environment and its complexities.
- Build and maintain networks of client relationships and community involvement.
- Communicate value propositions and manage resource requirements, project workflow, and project economics.
- Analyze client internal control practices and evaluate client compliance with export controls and trade sanctions regulatory requirements.
- Supervise teams to create an atmosphere of trust and encourage improvement and innovation.
- Coach staff, providing timely and meaningful written and verbal feedback.
- Develop new relationships and make introductions to sell new projects/services with a "One Firm" inclusive service mindset.
- Demonstrate knowledge of automation and digitization in a business environment, innovating through new and existing technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years
- Required Knowledge/Skills: Export controls/sanctions/other regulatory certifications (., ECoP; CGSS); other National Security regulatory background (., former Government or industry roles with a focus in trade compliance).
- Preferred Fields of Study: Business Administration/Management, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting.
- Additional Educational Preferences: Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Arts, Juris Doctor.
- Extensive abilities and/or a proven record in serving as a subject matter specialist in a client-facing capacity, designing and conducting assessments, overseeing development processes, supporting consulting services, and knowledge of US export controls and trade sanctions regulatory requirements.
- Extensive experience as a team leader, identifying and addressing client needs, building and maintaining client relationships, managing resources, and coaching staff.
- Extensive knowledge of automation and digitization in a business environment.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $232,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
- For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position.
- Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
