Associate Family Law Attorney Responsibilities: Supervise and direct mediation sessions, and offer effective legal advice. Oversee and manage the legal issues that transpire between people that are members of the same family. Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing court documents such as pleadings or witness statements. The candidate should be able to manage a full caseload of family law cases of varying degrees of complexity. Will be opening new files, creating litigation plans, conducting discovery, making court appearances, and trying cases while maintaining exceptional client interaction. Uphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences. Able to propound and respond to discovery, including Declarations of Disclosure, Requests for Production, Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Admission, Subpoenas, and Depositions.

Qualifications: Four-year bachelor's degree, along with a three-year law degree from an accredited law school. 3+ years of experience as an attorney in Family Law. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred. Experience with Case Management Software required. An active member of the CA state bar and local bar associations. Decision-making, public speaking, and supervisory experience are required. Advanced proficiency in computer skills, reviewing reports, and budgets. Must be capable of managing clients and providing professional service to clientele. Must have a background or strong desire to enter family law; divorce, paternity, custody disputes, child support enforcement, and adoptions.
