A law firm seeks a Student Services and Special Education attorney in its Inland Empire, CA, office. The successful candidate will advise K–12 districts and community colleges on special education processes, compliance matters, and policy development, collaborating with clients to support inclusive educational programs.
Duties
Guide clients through individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation.
Draft and revise district policies, procedures, and handbooks related to student services.
Deliver workshops and training on special education best practices.
Respond to state and federal compliance inquiries and administrative due process matters outside of adversarial litigation.
Requirements
Minimum two years of California practice experience in education law or related fields.
Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and multiple concurrent projects.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Education
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
Skills
Proficient in interpreting state and federal education statutes and regulations.
Effective communicator, both orally and in writing.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Collaborative mindset with a commitment to client service.
