Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney – Bodily Injury

Job Responsibilities:
As an insurance defense attorney within the bodily injury unit, the primary role involves being part of the motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team. The attorney is responsible for providing legal representation to company insureds and/or to the company Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all facets of litigation. Key responsibilities include handling cases from inception to conclusion, preparing legal pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs, and engaging in settlement negotiations. The attorney will work in close collaboration with clients and claims partners to prepare timely litigation reports, ensuring that all suitable defenses are employed to achieve favorable outcomes. Additional tasks comprise analyzing written discovery, depositions, medical records, and assessing the value of claims to determine risk exposure.

This position is hybrid, necessitating occasional travel to an office for meetings and/or training. Candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance from the office they support.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM)
- A minimum of two years of general/auto litigation experience
- Active license to practice law in Texas

Salary Information:
- Compensation ranges from $128, to $143,000 per year
- Gainshare bonus up to 40% of eligible earnings based on company performance
