The **Members Only** (DCF) is seeking unpaid interns for the summer semester. This is a great opportunity for college students to gain valuable experience in the field of social work or related fields such as psychology, information systems, business management, computer technology, human resources, or legal support services. The internship program is open to current college students and provides hands-on experience in various local and area offices as well as the CP&P and DCF central offices.
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to provide direct and indirect services in a variety of areas, gaining real-world experience in your field of study. The program is highly competitive and will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in your chosen field.
To be considered for the internship program, applicants must be current college students. The internship program is offered in various departments, including the Office of Legal and Legislative Affairs. As an intern in this department, you will be responsible for various tasks, including legal research and summarization of Appellate and Supreme Court decisions that impact the department. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Administrative Hearings Unit, assisting in the review process for administrative appeals and writing Final Agency Decisions. In addition, you will work with the immigration unit, providing education and assistance to Department staff and clients on immigration issues.
If you are interested in an unpaid internship with DCF, please submit an inquiry form. Applicants will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and placement is not guaranteed.
