Job Overview:

A reputable law firm located in Meridian, ID, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Attorney to manage collection and litigation matters. This role involves working with a high-volume caseload, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and delivering exceptional service to clients. The position is ideal for a self-starter with strong written and oral advocacy skills, ready to contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

  • Handle breach of contract and collection litigation cases from demand through judgment.
  • Represent clients during court hearings (both telephonic and in-person).
  • Draft and argue motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment.
  • Manage and prioritize assigned caseload to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Address escalated and time-sensitive legal matters effectively.
  • Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • Experience with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in conducting thorough legal research using various sources.
  • Expertise in legal software and tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
