Job Description
As a Law Clerk, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, analyzing motions and other matters on calendar, preparing written recommendations, and performing other related duties as assigned. This position offers the opportunity to work with and support judicial officers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet one of the following requirements at the time of application:
- Graduation from an accredited school of law with a Juris Doctor degree.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of California and a member in good standing of the California State Bar.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to conduct legal research independently and apply the law to the facts.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to reach well-supported conclusions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with judicial officers and colleagues.

- Two writing samples demonstrating your analytical ability (. drafted pleading, legal publication, legal writing class assignment, etc.; an introductory paragraph explaining the nature of the writing sample is encouraged, ., indicating the purpose for which it was written, how much is your own original work, if it is an excerpt from a larger work, etc.).
