A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its immigration law team in Cleveland, OH. This role is ideal for a highly motivated attorney with a passion for helping clients navigate the complex immigration process. The attorney will provide counsel on immigration matters, conduct legal research, and represent clients before USCIS and the Executive Office of Immigration Review. This position requires an individual with strong litigation skills and a deep commitment to advocating for clients facing the risk of removal or deportation.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on immigration matters, including research and interpretation of immigration laws.
  • Represent clients in Immigration Court, including hearings and interviews with USCIS and immigration courts.
  • Prepare legal documents and filings related to immigration reliefs and deportation defense.
  • Stay informed about changes to immigration laws and regulations to guide clients in their cases.
  • Work closely with clients to offer clear and informed guidance on the immigration process and potential outcomes.
  • Advocate for clients in legal proceedings, ensuring their voices are heard in court and before government agencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law or litigation.
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in Immigration Court proceedings and USCIS interviews is required.
  • Strong desire to advocate for clients and contribute to meaningful legal outcomes.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must have graduated in the top 10% of either undergraduate or law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in any . state.
