Duties:

  • Handle a variety of commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and other legal documents

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on business and regulatory matters

  • Negotiate settlements and prepare clients for dispute resolution proceedings

  • Appear in court and communicate with opposing counsel and third parties

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding case status and developments

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on strategy and execution

  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal procedures and filing standards

  • Demonstrate initiative and contribute proactively in a collaborative setting

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on litigation experience

  • Licensed to practice in New York and good standing with the state bar

  • Proficient in drafting, litigation procedures, and courtroom advocacy

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities

  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet firm deadlines

  • Skilled in both written and verbal legal communication

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar is required

  • Eligibility for federal admission sponsorship is a plus

Skills:

  • Meticulous legal research and document preparation

  • Confident public speaking and client-facing communication

  • Team-oriented with independent problem-solving capabilities

  • Familiarity with commercial business environments and litigation risks

Job Location:

  • Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid: in-office presence required with remote flexibility available after three months)
