Job Title:
AVP- Cyber/Technology/Media Claims

Job Responsibilities:
The AVP, Team Manager – Cyber/Tech/Media/Crime is responsible for leading a team of claim professionals who handle claims, including matters in litigation, involving Cyber, Technology Professional Liability (PL), Media, and Crime. Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting in the delivery of team objectives by developing, managing, and motivating engaged, high-performing claims professionals.
- Providing managerial support, guidance, and mentorship to the assigned team.
- Driving employee engagement and individual development, and being responsible for the team’s performance and growth.
- Ensuring adherence to company Best Practices through managerial diary and file audits.
- Reviewing and opining on coverage analyses drafted by the team, including denials.
- Driving litigation management behaviors within the assigned team.
- Identifying and providing solutions for key issues and trends to senior claims management.
- Allocating new incoming claims, reopened claims, and claims that may need to transfer due to severity.
- Acting as the escalation point for customers and brokers.
- Preparing for and participating in Roundtable presentations.
- Assisting VP or Director in preparing and presenting reserve analysis and claims trends.
- Taking an active role in the Claims/Underwriting/Actuarial feedback loop.
- Playing an active role in recruitment and onboarding.
- Providing feedback to the team, including participating fully in the performance management process.

Education and Experience Information:
- 10+ years of claims handling experience. A JD from an ABA-accredited law school may be considered as a supplement to claims handling experience.
- 5+ years of experience handling Cyber, Tech E&O, and Media, with Cyber and Tech E&O being essential.
- 4+ years of Claims management experience, preferably in multi-jurisdictions.
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Expert knowledge of claims handling practices, including coverage analysis, litigation management, and negotiation.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong rapport-building and relationship effectiveness skills.

- Demonstrated efforts to advance product innovation, improve claims processes, and/or develop a greater understanding of other aspects of the business through training, interactions with external/internal shareholders, or other relevant projects.
- Technical leader with the ability to respond to challenges that may arise when asked by direct reports or others inside and outside of the organization.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000 annually. The actual salary will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards as part of the comprehensive compensation and benefits program.
