The Tampa Bay Congressman's Office is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to participate in our internship programs. Our office offers two internship opportunities, one in our District Offices in Tampa and St. Petersburg, and the other in our Washington, . Office. Both programs run throughout the spring, summer, and fall semesters.

Responsibilities for our Tampa and St. Petersburg Office internship include responding to constituent inquiries, learning about federal policymaking and its impact on our community, performing administrative duties, working with caseworkers, and assisting with media and community events. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn about the daily operations of a congressional office.

In our Washington, . Office, interns will have the chance to learn about the legislative process and the inner workings of the federal government. This office offers both legislative and press internship opportunities. Legislative interns will have the opportunity to research legislation, draft memos, and attend committee hearings and briefings. Press interns will assist with compiling press clips, creating digital content, and drafting social media posts.

We welcome applications from undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent college graduates, regardless of major. Academic credit can be arranged for interns, and limited financial-need based stipends are available on a case-by-case basis. Please note that interns selected for the Washington, . Office will be responsible for their own travel and living expenses.
