Welcome and thank you for your interest in the **Members Only** Student Internship Program. Gain real-world experience in your field of study with our unpaid internship opportunities for the Spring Semester. Our program offers college students the chance to gain valuable field experience in courses that they are taking for credit, towards a diploma or degree in social work, psychology, or related fields such as information systems, business management, computer technology, human resources, and legal.

Education Requirements:
- Must be a current college student

Disqualifications:
- Fingerprints
- Outside Activity Questionnaire
- Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) background check
- Driving record with five points or more within the past five years
- Driving under the influence conviction within the past five years
- Combination of three motor vehicle violations or license suspensions within the last five years (excluding parking violations)

Legal Affairs Internship at **Members Only**

As an intern for the Office of Legal and Legislative Affairs, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks within several units. We are looking for candidates with excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate professionally with various agencies. Your responsibilities will include legal research and summarization of Appellate and Supreme Court decisions that impact the department. You will also have the chance to work closely with two specific units.

Administrative Hearings Unit:
- Process written statewide requests for administrative appeals
- Ensure appeals are administered according to applicable statutes and administrative code
- Assist in reviewing cases for appeal eligibility
- Write Final Agency Decisions

Immigration Unit:
- Assist with immigration issues facing the populations we serve
- Provide education to local offices and other Department employees
- Network with other agencies and stakeholders to ease access to immigration services for our clients
