Job Title: Senior Principal Intelligence Specialist, FIU
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Principal Intelligence Specialist within the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) at the organization is tasked with a variety of critical functions to support the unit's mission of identifying emerging risks and potential threats to investors and the market. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating across the organization and with external entities on strategic and urgent cyber-related events to mitigate investor harm risks.
- Monitoring risk areas, trends, and threats related to cyber intelligence and investigations, and contributing to strategy development for mitigating these risks.
- Identifying strategic and tactical risks impacting the organization's mission of investor protection and market integrity, and developing problem statements to address these risks.
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships and networks with stakeholders to understand intelligence priorities.
- Collecting and analyzing data from internal and external stakeholders to address high-risk and complex issues.
- Developing and executing strategies for distributing intelligence analysis to appropriate stakeholders.
- Providing briefings to stakeholders and transforming intelligence analysis into actionable insights.
- Conducting tasks related to member firm/investor intelligence sharing and participating in conference panels, working groups, and roundtables.
- Engaging in staff training and intelligence sharing activities, which may include training events, podcasts, workshops, or live webinars.
- Demonstrating the organization's values and collaborating in-person and virtually to further the mission of investor protection and market integrity.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Senior Principal Intelligence Specialist position are expected to meet the following education and experience requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of eight years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required. An advanced degree or law degree is preferred.
- Proven expertise in performing advanced intelligence functions that cover the full intelligence cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and think strategically about complex risks and threats to stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of the organization's rules and federal securities laws is preferred.
- Knowledge of securities markets and member firm operations is preferred.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills for building and managing relationships with stakeholders.
- Advanced organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Expert proficiency in using computer programs, including the full suite of Office software applications.
- Highly effective at building and managing relationships.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Senior Principal Intelligence Specialist position varies based on location. The provided salary ranges are as follows:
- CA: Minimum Salary $128,000, Maximum Salary $242,600
- CO/HI/MN/VT: Minimum Salary $111,400, Maximum Salary $202,100
- IL: Minimum Salary $122,800, Maximum Salary $222,400
- Jersey City, NJ/NYC, NY: Minimum Salary $133,700, Maximum Salary $242,600
- MA/WA: Minimum Salary $111,400, Maximum Salary $232,500
- MD/Washington, DC: Minimum Salary $128,000, Maximum Salary $232,500
- NJ State: Minimum Salary $122,800, Maximum $242,600
