Applicant Attorney The candidate must have excellent research and writing skills with 3 years of legal experience; experience taking and/or defending depositions; court experience; handle cases from intake to settlement/trial; ability to relate well with former professional athletes ranging from those currently playing to those who last played in the 1960s; willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary; a passion for the injured worker. Must be ambitious, writes exceptionally, has great research skills, and can interact with professional athletes. Should preferably have experience with sports workers compensation re: Depositions, hearings, trials, trial preparation, pre-trial briefing, post-trial briefing, appellate briefing, drafting writs; experience in professional athlete workers compensation cases and non-professional athlete cases; trial experience as an applicant attorney; published cases; experience litigating and settling law enforcement claims along with a wide array of other professions; filing and litigating SIBTF claims; civil litigation experience including writing briefs, making court appearances, etc.; strong writing skills; Law Review/Journal participation in law school; Published law review articles; and a love, or a healthy appreciation, for sports or injured athletes.
