Job Title:
Senior Manager, Tax – Indirect (Planning and Strategy)

Job Responsibilities:
In this role, the Senior Manager, Tax is responsible for creating and implementing indirect tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities by proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities. Key responsibilities include:
- Building strategic plans to minimize past, present, and future indirect tax liabilities.
- Managing multiple projects and providing guidance and support to other indirect tax functions.
- Collaborating with business partners throughout the company to analyze business activities and determine indirect tax impacts.
- Utilizing data tools and tax technology to manipulate and review large-scale datasets and calculations to identify opportunities to optimize tax strategies.

Education and Experience Information:
- 6-10 years of indirect tax experience, including a mix of sales tax, use tax, product tax, excise tax, transaction tax, gross receipts tax, and tax technical concepts.
- Advanced degree or certification related to Taxation, such as JD, LLM, Master's Degree, CPA, or CMI.
- Experience in industry (retail and/or ecommerce) and/or consulting (Big 4) is preferred.
- Strong tax research and writing skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field and 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area.
- 1 year of supervisory experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading a cross-functional team.
- License to practice law in at least one state.
- Advanced degrees such as ., Masters in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or Law.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

Salary Information:
The annual salary range for this position is $110,,. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Other compensation for certain positions may also include stock options.
