Corporate Counsel – Transactions & Regulatory Affairs
Job Responsibilities
The Corporate Counsel for Transactions and Regulatory Affairs is responsible for overseeing all aspects of spectrum transaction processing at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and revising public interest statements, exhibits, maps, and related materials.
- Providing regulatory support for an active transactional portfolio.
- Collaborating with senior attorneys, engineering and technical experts, outside counsel, and business development teams.
- Supporting public safety and disabilities access matters before the FCC, such as Wireless Emergency Alerts, Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC), and the Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS).
- Managing pleadings, outside counsel, and FCC advocacy related to these issues.
- Serving as a trusted advisor for internal business clients across cross-functional teams, especially with Corporate Development, engineering, and mapping experts.
- Reviewing FCC filings of the company and other licensees, including entries in the Universal Licensing System and Broadband Data Collection portals.
- Driving departmental initiatives to develop or redesign legal support processes and templates for increased efficiency.
- Managing regulatory reports and filings necessary to comply with HAC, DIRS, and other federal reporting obligations.
Education and Experience Information
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an FCC, DOJ, corporate, or transactional attorney is required.
- Telecommunications knowledge or experience in FCC regulatory matters is essential.
- A technical background, including engineering or computer science, is advantageous.
- A law degree from an accredited law school and current bar membership in good standing in the applicable jurisdiction is mandatory.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required.
- Computer programming skills are considered a plus.

- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Salary Information
The base pay range for this position is $123,200 - $222,200. The actual pay will be based on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, there is a corporate bonus target of 15%.
