Duties:

  • Support various practice groups on tax issues in real estate transactions, corporate transactions, and tax-related litigation.
  • Structure, draft, and document business agreements.
  • Provide direct engagement with clients, offering tailored tax advice and solutions.
  • Assist in tax controversy and litigation support.
  • Provide general tax advice across a variety of matters.
  • Participate in the planning and documentation of complex transactions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to resolve tax-related legal issues.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the California Bar.
  • Up to five years of experience in tax law or a related field.
  • Strong experience in tax issues related to business transactions and tax litigation.
  • Attention to detail with excellent drafting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact directly with clients.
  • Ability to handle complex tax matters with efficiency and precision.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • . in Taxation or a Tax Concentration is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the California Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and legal writing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax law, including business transactions and tax litigation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in legal documentation.
  • Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
