Job Title: Engagement Consultation Manager

Job Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Partners, Principals, Managing Directors (PPMDs), and Senior Managers within the department and across service lines to provide guidance on auditor independence rules and their impacts.
- Engage with leadership, including Lead Client Service Partners and Professional Practice Directors, to understand and provide advice on engagement-related independence matters.
- Analyze services and relationships with clients, considering independence requirements, especially in the context of client mergers, acquisitions, or IPOs.
- Review client corporate or investment structures to identify affiliates as defined by independence rules.
- Conduct research and analysis, draft conclusions, and strategize on next steps in coordination with senior team members.
- Develop an understanding of AICPA, SEC, and PCAOB independence rules, and the company's Independence policies.
- Interpret and implement regulations relating to permissible non-attest services for the company's US entities, providing advice to client-facing teams.
- Participate in policy setting by researching and drafting communications to increase awareness and understanding of independence rules.
- Create and revise training courses and materials to address rule changes and new interpretations.
- Work independently or collaboratively on special projects with PPMDs and engagement teams, involving senior members as necessary.

Education and Experience Information:

- 5 - 8+ years of related experience, ideally in a professional services role and environment.
- Proficiency in standard office productivity tools (., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams).
- Ability to travel 0-10%, based on work and client needs.
- Preferred: Understanding of Independence requirements for professional auditing firms, experience in regulatory compliance, and knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP standards.
- . CPA and/or advanced degree in related areas such as finance, accounting, business, or law is preferred.

Salary Information:

- The wage range for this role is estimated between $114,600 and $191,000, considering various factors such as skill sets, experience, and organizational needs.
- Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to rules governing the program, based on individual and organizational performance.

- The role is part of the Engagement Consultation team within the Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN), which performs a critical consultation and risk-management function to maintain the company's independence when providing services to attest/audit clients and their affiliates.
