Job Responsibilities:
The Summer Associate Program at the law firm offers a comprehensive exposure to the diverse aspects of intellectual property law. The program is designed to provide Summer Associates with practical experience through real work assignments that encompass various components of intellectual property law. These include:
- Engaging in litigation processes
- Participating in Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings
- Involvement in patent prosecution
- Assisting in the drafting of licensing agreements
- Contributing to the preparation of opinions and briefs
- Participating in pro bono opportunities
In addition to hands-on work, Summer Associates receive specialized training to complement their legal studies. This training covers:
- Legal writing
- Patent application filing strategies
- Overview of licensing
- Overview of PTAB and litigation best practices
Summer Associates also have the opportunity to network and socialize with peers from top law schools across the country, as well as with partners and associates from the law firm. These interactions occur in structured environments that emphasize professionalism, training, and development.
Education and Experience Information:
