A law firm is seeking a Debt Finance Associate to join its Pittsburgh office. The ideal candidate will have experience in sophisticated financing transactions, advising clients such as major financial institutions, private credit funds, lenders, borrowers, and equity sponsors. This position involves working on a variety of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, syndicated lending, asset-based lending, mezzanine financing, and recapitalizations. The firm is looking for a dynamic professional to become part of a collaborative team specializing in complex credit facilities across diverse industries.
Location
Duties
- Advise clients on a wide range of debt finance transactions, including syndicated lending, leveraged buyouts, mezzanine financing, asset-based lending, and recapitalizations.
- Structure, negotiate, and close complex credit facilities.
- Collaborate with financial institutions, direct lenders, and private equity sponsors.
- Assume significant client responsibilities, including direct interaction with clients, business teams, and legal teams.
- Navigate evolving market conditions to help clients achieve their business objectives.
- Provide legal counsel to a diverse range of industries.
- Engage in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to debt financing transactions.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a sophisticated law firm setting, specifically in debt finance.
- Experience with senior secured, mezzanine, second lien, and/or syndicated finance.
- Proven track record of assuming significant client responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with clients, business teams, and legal professionals.
- Excellent academic record and strong writing skills.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is required.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (required).
