Job Title: Senior Ethics Manager, Allegations Management
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Ethics Manager, Allegations Management will play a pivotal role within the Ethics and Compliance (E&C) function at the company. This function is integral to managing risks for the firm, its clients, and its employees while promoting client impact and innovation. As a member of the Ethics pillar, the manager will focus on instilling trust by amplifying integrity and effectively managing concerns. The role involves leading the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives, particularly within the team responsible for handling the intake and triage of allegations and managing complex cases. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, managing, and remediating key risk areas across the firm's Ethics & Compliance program.
- Providing leadership in addressing legal, regulatory, and compliance-related reviews.
- Demonstrating expertise in navigating complex and multifaceted issues to achieve risk-based resolutions.
- Developing consistency across the firm's Ethics program and identifying opportunities to enhance and evolve it.
- Operating within cross-functional teams to devise appropriate solutions.
- Identifying and leveraging internal and external data and emerging trends to develop insights and recommendations.
- Driving content recommendations for changes to firm policies, standards, and training based on data insights and benchmarking.
- Implementing data, technology, and tooling capabilities to support the Allegations Management program.
- Developing solutions tailored to the unique needs of the firm and regulatory expectations.
- Collaborating and aligning with a varied set of stakeholders across all firm functions, including Legal, Internal Audit, Finance, and HR.
- Owning relevant organizational, operational, or strategic Ethics initiatives.
- Engaging in collaborative partnerships with other Ethics & Compliance colleagues and stakeholders.
- Sustaining and evolving the E&C program and upholding the firm's commitment to integrity and lawful practices.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with advanced degrees and/or applicable professional certifications preferred. A Juris Doctor (JD) is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in legal, regulatory, or compliance environments is required, with a preference for attorneys with "Big Law" and/or in-house experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in leading and managing complex investigations, including litigation, internal investigations, or regulatory reviews.
- A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in identifying and addressing legal, regulatory, and compliance-related issues, including multifaceted investigations.
- Experience using third-party case management technologies to drive complex investigations.
- Strong skills in Excel, Tableau (or other data visualization technologies), and analytical and data management are preferred.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with leaders within and outside the team and to collaborate generously with others.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to drive outcomes on cross-functional and complex topics.
- Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset to progress on ambiguous problems and see them through to resolution.
- Exhibits the highest levels of discretion and judgment in safeguarding highly sensitive and confidential materials.
