Location:

  • Houston, Texas

Duties:

  • Handle complex construction litigation matters, including drafting and arguing motions, preparing discovery, taking depositions, and trying cases.

  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial and construction litigation cases, including arbitration and trial preparation.

  • Work closely with a partner, other associates, and staff to represent clients in high-stakes litigation.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and experts throughout the litigation process.

  • Meet deadlines while managing the demands of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience as a licensed commercial litigation attorney, with a focus on construction litigation.

  • Experience drafting and arguing complex motions, preparing discovery, and taking depositions.

  • Comfortable handling litigation in both state and federal courts.

  • Ability to manage complex commercial litigation cases with limited supervision.

  • Strong legal writing skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong background in commercial and construction litigation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience working with a team and managing a diverse caseload.
