Overview:
Shumaker is seeking a Wealth Strategies Associate Attorney to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated and challenging estate planning matters for clients in South Carolina and nationwide. We are looking for a candidate with 0-2 years of experience and a strong working knowledge of estate planning, probate administration, and trust administration. An . in taxation or estate planning is preferred, but not required.
Job Requirements:
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
Active South Carolina bar license
0-2 years’ professional estate planning law practice experience
. in Taxation or Estate Planning is preferred
Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals
Superior research skills, including the use of online services and databases
Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

- Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time
