Position Summary
- Strategic and creative federal tax professional
- Experience serving real estate owners and operators
- Leader with solid understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and REIT qualification rules
- Opportunity to develop and pursue creative strategies in real estate industry using latest tax technologies
What You'll Do
- Provide compliance and consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships
- Work with clients, manage tax engagement team, and have access to specialists when needed
- Use proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes and achieve worldwide compliance
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships in real estate industry
- Advise on tax issues such as REIT qualification, Tax Reform impact, business restructuring, and tax controversy
- Manage complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state of the art technology and data analytics
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing leadership and career guidance

Qualifications
Required
- Ability to work in hybrid model with 2-3 days in person per week
- 5+ years corporate tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills
- Strong managerial experience
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Active accreditation as CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP
Preferred
- Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, LLM)
- Previous experience in Big 4 or large CPA firm
Salary Information
- Wide range of factors considered in compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, licensure, and certifications
- Range estimate: $84,980 - $193,440
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance
