Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Manager

Job Responsibilities:
A career as a Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Manager involves working within the Corporate Tax services, particularly in the Financial Services Tax practice. The role provides opportunities to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their business. This includes advising clients on local and international tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The manager will also help organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and provide advice on the tax implications of deals.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of tax compliance methods, strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts, and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Considerable knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and corresponding tax liabilities.
- Considerable knowledge of accounting of Unrelated Business Taxable Income.
- Comprehensive technical skills, including providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including publicly traded REITs, institutional real estate funds managed by financial institutions, and privately held real estate entities.
- Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs, building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement, communicating value propositions, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections, and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
- Considerable experience as a team leader, supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation, and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
- Demonstrates success as a tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services with a "One Firm" service mindset.
- Demonstrates knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment, including innovating through new and existing technologies, working with large, complex data sets to build models, leveraging data visualization tools to provide insights to clients, and utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.
- Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000, with individuals potentially being eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for the position. Actual compensation within the range will depend upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
