Job Title: Tax Senior, Private Equity

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior in the Private Equity sector, your primary responsibilities will involve providing tax compliance and advisory services to investment management clients. You will leverage your prior experience to effectively analyze, develop solutions, and implement clients' tax objectives. Key responsibilities include:

- Performing detailed reviews of tax research, partnership work papers, allocations, and tax filings.
- Coordinating and communicating with client contacts to gather necessary information for tax return completion.
- Training, mentoring, and supervising both new and experienced tax staff.
- Attending required training sessions specific to the company and the sector.
- Preparing and leading client meetings on compliance and advisory projects, focusing on tax planning opportunities and the implications of various transactions to the organization.

Education and Experience Information:
The role requires a combination of education and experience to qualify:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
- Experience in investment management or partnership taxation is essential.
- Familiarity with Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and the tax compliance process for investment partnerships is required.
- An advanced degree such as a Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM is preferred.
- Previous experience with a Big 4 firm or a large CPA firm is considered advantageous.
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment is preferred.

Professional certifications are also required, with one of the following active accreditations necessary or in process:

- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible, then a Licensed Attorney or Enrolled Agent.
- Additionally, certifications such as Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) are relevant.

Salary Information:
The compensation for the Tax Senior role takes into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The estimated salary range for this position is $66,570 to $151,580. It is important to note that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case.

Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The award, if any, is contingent on various factors, including individual and organizational performance, and is subject to the program's rules.

The position also emphasizes the need to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week. The role may also require travel up to 25%, depending on the work and the clients and industries/sectors served.
