As a PCAOB Board Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of talented professionals and contribute to the organization's mission of investor protection. You will also have the chance to collaborate, solve problems, and encourage new ideas to improve audit quality and innovation in the capital markets.

The role of Fellow is considered part-time, with a term of six months starting in Fall 2025 and the possibility of extension. Fellows are expected to work up to 20 hours per week and will be assigned to one of the PCAOB's offices located across the United States. However, staff have the option to live and work from anywhere within the country, with occasional intentional gatherings or meetings at their assigned office or location.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Board and PCAOB staff on specific projects, which may include publishable research related to the organization's oversight activities. You will also support the review of matters before the Board in the areas of standard setting and rulemaking, inspection reports and remediation determinations, enforcement matters, and stakeholder engagement.

To be considered for this position, you must be currently pursuing a graduate-level degree in accounting, law, or a related field of study. You should also have a strong interest in pursuing a career in the public accounting or auditing profession. Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to adhere to high standards of conduct and confidentiality, and the ability to collaborate and promote teamwork are essential for this role. Additionally, you should possess the ability to think outside the box, take initiative, and be proactive and innovative.

In addition to a competitive salary, PCAOB offers a hybrid work option, where staff have the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States but will be required to commute to their assigned office or location for occasional intentional gatherings or meetings. The organization also supports transparency, equity, and fairness in its compensation programs, with graduate students earning per hour and students earning per hour.
