Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is actively seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Team. This position, based in Orlando, FL, offers the opportunity to engage in a broad spectrum of affordable housing legal matters. The successful candidate will support for-profit and nonprofit developers in the acquisition, construction, and management of multifamily housing projects nationwide. Location:

  • Orlando, Florida

Duties:

  • Represent for-profit and nonprofit developers in the development, acquisition, rehabilitation, construction, and operation of affordable multifamily housing projects

  • Support clients utilizing federal, state, and local affordable housing programs

  • Draft and review financing documents, partnership agreements, and related real estate documents

  • Collaborate with team members across various offices on nationwide client matters

  • Maintain client relationships and manage transaction timelines

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in affordable housing or real estate legal practice

  • Familiarity with developer representation and project financing (residential and commercial)

  • Ability to handle complex transactional matters in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated interest in or experience with affordable housing tax credits preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing of the Florida State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing capabilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
