Job Title: 2026 2L Summer Associate

Job Responsibilities:
The 2L Summer Associate role at the law firm is designed to provide a comprehensive, hands-on experience in practicing law at a high level. The program allows participants to explore various practice areas that interest them, rather than rotating through predetermined groups. During the 10-week program, associates will engage in meaningful legal work, participate in social gatherings and events, and gain direct access to the law firm's innovative and diverse culture. The ultimate goal is for associates to experience being part of a supportive and vibrant community.

Specific responsibilities may include:
- Engaging in high-stakes legal work across various practice areas.
- Participating in social and professional events to foster relationships within the law firm.
- Exploring and understanding the law firm's diverse practice areas and culture.
- Developing legal skills through practical, real-world experience.

Education and Experience Information:
Applicants for the 2L Summer Associate position must be members of the class of 2027. They are required to submit a resume, law school transcript, and a cover letter indicating their practice area interest. The application deadline is July 31, 2025.

Salary Information:
The salary for the 2L Summer Associate position is $4, per week.

Practice Groups Available:

Transactional Practice Groups:
1. Corporate & Securities (C&S):
- Involves representing clients in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, both domestically and internationally.
- Engages in private equity, including fund formation, investments, and portfolio company transactions.
- Handles initial and other public offerings, private placements of equity and debt.
- Deals with leveraged finance transactions, debt restructurings, securities compliance, corporate governance, and general corporate matters.

2. Financial Services & Investment Management (FSG):
- Assists with mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, private funds, money market funds, derivatives, and structured products.
- Provides advice on fund management, governance, and a full range of regulatory and compliance issues.
- Supports investigations and litigation involving regulatory entities globally.

Litigation Practice Groups:
1. Antitrust (AT):
- Involves merger clearance, business planning, litigation and class actions.
- Handles cases involving civil conduct, government cartel, and abuse of dominance investigations.

2. Enforcement & Investigations (EI):
- Partners with businesses to address complex matters involving internal or government investigations.
- Involves economic sanctions, trade compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity issues.

3. Securities & Complex Litigation (SCL):
- Defends client interests in breach of contract, consumer fraud, and false advertising cases.
- Engages in securities litigation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, professional liability, and insurance issues.
