Associate Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property - Job ID: 2879936
- Responsible for managing trademark and copyright issues for multiple brand portfolios in the consumer retail space
- Directly interacts with teams to provide strategic advice on brands, trademarks, copyrights, and domain names
- Manages clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement of US and foreign trademark portfolios
- Provides client counseling and develops and implements intellectual property protection policies
- Educates and coaches the business on intellectual property matters
- Works in a dynamic team of IP professionals responsible for global trademark, copyright, and domain issues
- Compensation based on experience and includes equity compensation
- 3+ years of relevant experience with trademark and copyright issues, in-house experience preferred
- Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar required
- Ability to handle trademark and copyright-related activities for multiple business segments in a fast-paced, frugal environment
- Experience managing domestic and foreign trademark portfolios
- Skilled in leading investigations and negotiations to resolve third-party trademark disputes
- Ability to understand and resolve complex legal and business issues
- Effective communication skills and ability to translate IP issues to different teams
- Creativity, attention to detail, commitment to customer service, and a passion for trademark law
