Job Title: Tax Senior, Specialized Tax Services Partnerships
Job Responsibilities:
Tax Specialization:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of technical and practical issues related to partnership taxation.
- Participate in organizing and conducting effective external CPE training sessions in the area of specialization, involving specialists from the company at least once per year.
- Train and mentor interns and associates.
- Educate interns and associates on using all current software tools as needed.
Research:
- Assist in identifying when research is needed; work with leadership to frame issues for research and report the analysis clearly and concisely.
- Identify complex issues to be researched by the engagement team and provide research methodology for an efficient research process.
- Train interns and associates on research skills and help to appropriately frame tax issues for analysis.
- Involve company specialists as appropriate.
Tax Consulting:
- Assist with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient methods to maximize client benefits, focusing on decreasing clients' current and future taxes.
- Collaborate with leadership to recommend solutions by combining tax knowledge and business/industry knowledge.
- Work with leadership to maximize client benefits while managing risk.
- Assist with implementing applicable company strategies.
- Manage client expectations effectively.
Other Duties:
- Participate in scheduling and managing the workload of interns and associates.
- Supervise the day-to-day workload of interns on various projects.
- Review work prepared by interns and associates and provide review comments.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics preferred.
- Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
Experience:
- Two or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience required.
- Specialized partnership experience preferred.
- Private equity experience at both fund and portfolio company levels preferred.
License/Certifications:
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) preferred.
- Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to the role preferred.
Software:
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software preferred.

- Strong analytical and basic research, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
